Quality Assurance Unit

The University Quality Assurance Unit, pursuant to Art. 21 of the Statute, is established by rectoral decree. The person in charge, appointed by the Chancellor, is currently the Deputy Chancellor for quality assurance. The role of the Quality Assurance Unit is defined in accordance with the current provisions on self-evaluation, periodic evaluation and accreditation of university sites and Courses. In particular, the Unit coordinates and supports the  quality assurance procedures relating to the University's teaching, research and third mission/social impact activities, and organises information flows to and from the Evaluation Unit and the joint faculty-student committees. The person in charge of the Unit, together with its members, is the promoter both of initiatives aimed at the mutual exchange of opinions and experiences between the bodies and institutes involved in the quality assurance process, as well as training and awareness-raising meetings for teaching and technical-administrative staff, with quality assurance as their theme. The Quality Assurance Unit draws up an annual report on its activities, even if not expressly required by the regulations. The report is disseminated to the governing bodies and quality bodies, and uploaded to the University's owncloud. The Unit meets regularly throughout the year, usually every two months. The minutes of the meetings are forwarded to the Chancellor and the members of the Evaluation Unit and uploaded to the University owncloud.
