Quality assurance

The University of International Studies of Rome - UNINT, consistently with its vision, mission, principles, values and in line with the strategic directions defined in the statute and in the three-year strategic plan of the University, has decided to adopt a insurance system of quality (AQ) drawing inspiration in particular from the AVA system (self-assessment, periodic evaluation, accreditation) following the quality assurance model drawn up by the National Agency for Evaluation of the University and Research System (ANVUR), in coherence with the general lines of planning direction of the university system defined by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and in compliance with the European standards promoted by the European University Association and reported in the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015) implemented by MUR. The UNINT quality assurance system is based on a process approach, i.e. focused on identifying the processes necessary for carrying out the various activities, continuous control and management of the same. The QA system is set up on the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) principle, that is:

  • plan: plan and establish objectives, define responsibilities and identify processes;
  • do: implement the processes and what has been planned;
  • check: monitor and measure processes and results;
  • act: adopt consequent improvement actions continuously.

UNINT policy is to involve teaching and technical-administrative staff, students, as well as external actors in the quality assurance system.

UNINT adopts a system of quality management also in compliance with the standard UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 integrated with the provisions of the accreditation requirements of the AVA system to ensure and improve the quality of its services and activities in the interest of all interested parties.
