The Board of Directors shall, without prejudice to the powers of other bodies and in accordance with the statute, establish the general guidelines of the University and oversee all administrative, financial, and economic operations together with asset management. The Board of Directors shall be composed of the President of the Institute of Political Studies “S. Pio V” or a delegate; eight councillors appointed by the FORMIT Foundation; the Rector of the University; one tenured Professor appointed by the Academic Senate for each of the Faculties, and one student representative in line with the principle of gender equality.

The Executive Committee shall have the same tenure as the Board and be composed of the President and Vice President of the Board of Directors; the Rector; the President of the FORMIT Foundation or a delegate (even for a single assembly); a member of the Board of Directors, and the President of the Institute of Political Studies “S. Pio V” or delegate, even for a single assembly.

The Academic Senate is the body responsible for the orientation, development and scheduling of the University’s educational and research activities. It shall establish general guidelines regarding educational and research activities, according to which the each Faculty will determine its curricula. The Academic Senate shall also play an active role in University development plans.

The Supervisory Board is endowed with the right of independent initiative and control, and shall supervise the functioning, effectiveness, adequacy, and conformity of the Model of Organisation, Management, and Control of the Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma – UNINT. The Supervisory Board shall collect information on actual or attempted violations of the code of ethics, the afore-mentioned Model of Organisation, Management, and Control, the Statute, and the Regulations.

The University Research Committee shall oversee the annual and multi-year planning of the research activities of the University. The Committee is invested with the following responsibilities

• to develop an Annual University Research Plan with detailed multi-year projections based on the annual allocation to the Fund for Scientific Research, as stipulated by the Board of Directors and on a proposal from the Deans of Faculty;
• to determine the distribution criteria of the University Fund for Research, allocating contributions for Research Projects and Research Services;
• to check the uniformity of procedures for requesting access to the Fund for Research;
• to legislate on the allocation of funds;
• to implement ex-post verification procedures between objectives and results of the financed scientific activity;
• to produce an Annual Report on University Research Activity;
• to propose amendments to the Regulation for University Research Activities and check compliance therewith.

Having regard to article 33 of the Statute of the Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma - UNINT, published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic No. 49 of 27 February 2013:

1. The Disciplinary Committee is the body responsible for the investigation phase of disciplinary proceedings regarding tenured academic staff. The Committee shall give a final and binding opinion, according to the principle of legal certainty.
2. The Committee shall operate in accordance with the principle of equal judgement, in compliance with the adversarial principle. In the event of both ethical and disciplinary offence, jurisdiction will be given to the bodies responsible for disciplinary proceedings under article 10 of Law No. 240/2010.
