The Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma – UNINT expresses deep condolences for the passing of Emma Bonino, to whom in 2019 he awarded an honorary degree in Political Science for International Institutions and Organizations.
A prominent figure in Italian and European political life, Emma Bonino has dedicated her efforts to defending human rights, individual freedoms, and human dignity, and to building a more united and responsible Europe.
In awarding her an honorary degree, UNINT wanted to pay homage not only to her extraordinary institutional experience, but also to the consistency, courage, and international dimension of her civic commitment.
Today our academic community loses one of its illustrious graduates, we gratefully preserve her testimony, and we join in sympathy with her family and all those who were close to her.
