Third mission/social impact strategic planning

The University, as a training and research body, considers direct interaction with society and the territory to be of great importance through the third mission/social impact which allows the valorization and transfer of knowledge to a non-academic public, in a perspective of growing openness to the socio-economic context in which it operates. The areas of third mission/social impact project intervention identified by the University include inclusion, educational poverty, equal opportunities, active citizenship and sustainability.

The strategic lines for the three-year period 2022-2024 aim in particular to increase the University's impact on the territory through actions aimed at concretely contributing to harmonious social, cultural and economic development in compliance with sustainability paradigms.

Specifically, the University of International Studies of Rome - UNINT intends to pursue the four strategic objectives described below:

  • enhance interaction between the University and the social and productive fabric;
  • develop start-up and spin-off initiatives;
  • promote the socio-cultural and socio-economic development of the country with particular attention to sustainability issues;
  • encourage the transfer of particularly useful knowledge in the job market to high school students.

The actions aimed at achieving the identified strategic objectives and the indicators aimed at carrying out monitoring actions are described in detail in the three-year strategic plan.
