Project funded by UNINT – Third Mission/Social Impact call (a.y. 2024/2025)
Responsible: Antonella Ercolani, Full Professor UNINT
Objectives
Raise awareness of the need to remember in order not to forget and understand one of the darkest periods in contemporary history, in order to achieve sustainable and inclusive peace processes, reducing mutual forms of violence and urging the start of the necessary reforms to adopt non-discriminatory policies and laws capable of preventing violence and combating terrorism and crime (Objective 16 UN Agenda 2030, targets 16.1, 16.3, 16.6, 16.7).
Actions
The event offers a Reading/mise en espace of the text If This is a Man by Primo Levi.
This is a show of very strong social commitment, with pure acting, punctuated by a visual journey, created through video projections that help the spectator enter the tragic world of the extermination camps.
Reading, stage adaptation and direction Daniele Salvo.
Impact
The initiative aims to involve university and secondary school students and citizens through a creative activity that, through the recovery of the testimonies of the victims, allows education against fanaticism and hatred between peoples, trying to eliminate every form of fundamentalism and extremism everywhere in the world.
