Health as a Sustainable Goal

Sustainable development cannot be achieved without providing guarantees of healthy life and well-being for all and at all ages. In relation to this goal (Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages; target 3.8: Achieve universal health coverage, including financial risk protection, access to quality essential health-care services, and access to safe, effective, quality and affordable essential medicines and vaccines for all) the University has launched the “Health as a Sustainable Goal“ programme, within which four days for the periodic blood collection were set up, preceded by an awareness-raising action open to citizens on donation as an act of social solidarity. Coordinated and in collaboration with AVIS Comunale di Roma the first two days were held on 28 and 29 March 2023, during which, in addition to blood collection a public meeting was held to explain the irreplaceable importance of blood as a life-saving tool and for the production of plasma-derived medicines. The next two days were held on 25 and 26 October 2023.
