Actions
Organisation of a whole day of meetings and activities, on 12 October 2023, the phases of which can be summarised with the key words: understanding, getting to know each other, narrating the differences.
Understanding: the first phase is dedicated to the inauguration of the Religions for peace exhibition "Religions, architecture, cultures" with a guided tour at the end of which a round table will be held on radicalisation, its forms and possible remedies.
Getting to know each other: the second phase includes an afternoon of meetings with representatives of the religions present in the area on traditions, identity and inter-religious dialogue as a chance to get to know each other and fight prejudice.
Narrating the differences: the third phase is a free meeting between the young participants and the representatives of the different religions in a convivial moment.
Impact
It is believed that the event is able to activate discussions of tolerance in a perspective of peace through social and inter-religious dialogue. The reflections, face-to-face encounters and social moments can stimulate to question radicalisation phenomena in language, media, ancient and modern prejudices to foster integration and create conclusive counter-narratives.
Indicators
- Number of competitors;
- satisfaction questionnaire on the usefulness of the meetings for a better understanding of the different religious messages related to peace.
