Vicoli et ruelles à Rome

Project funded by UNINT – Third Mission/Social Impact call (a.y. 2022/2023)
Project Manager: Stefania Cerrito, UNINT lecturer

Objectives

As part of the organisation of public events open to the community and the "Ça jase en tiguidou ! Rencontres BDquoises. Autour de la BD entre Québec et Italie“ project, the initiative “Vicoli et ruelles à Rome. La Bande Dessinée Québécoise”aims to delve into basic and scientific themes in a popular way relating to comics and Canadian comics, also in comparison with Italian comics. The objectives include raising awareness of the art of comics and Québec comics, as well as opening a dialogue on social and existential themes presented in comics.

Actions

Organisation of an exhibition, already presented at the Ducal Palace in Genoa and in Montréal, and spread over several venues in Rome, including Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma – UNINT from 20 June to 8 July 2023, and of two events: (a) Vicoli e ruelles à l’Unint: une promenade à travers la bande dessinée francophone, on 22 June 2023 in Aula Master and in live streaming at 10:30 am; and (b) Vicoli et ruelles à l’Unint: rencontres BDquoises, on 23 June 2023 in Aula Master and live streaming at 10:30 am.

Impact

The event provides an insight into the  culture and society of Québec and the French-speaking world in general. It is also an attractive element to strengthen the link between the Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma – UNINT and the territory in its various realities.

Indicators

The impact of the project is measured through the number of participants.
