Master's Degree in Economics and International Management - Digital Marketing and Global Markets

In a digitised world, the real challenge for businesses is to keep up with the pace of change or lose relevance. Therefore, they need to pursue innovation and develop a comprehensive digital strategy. E-commerce must be at the core of the process as it is paving the way for internationalisation and changing the way customers shop. Against this backdrop, the Master's Degree Programme in Economics and International Management – Digital Marketing and Global Markets Curriculum is designed to provide students with specialised skills related to international management and e-business, social media management, international multimedia communication, the planning process and the implementation of a digital marketing strategy, the use of web analytics as a performance tracking tool and brand management on a global scale. Students have the possibility to attend lectures and seminars on the latest developments in the sector.

The normal requirement for admission to the Master’s degree in Economics and International Management (LM-77) is one of the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or any other equivalent international diploma or certification in any of the following degree courses: L-14, L-16, L-18, L-33, L-36, L-37, L-40 (D.M. 270/2004); or in 2, 15, 17, 19, 28, 31 (D.M. 509/1999);
  • Bachelor’s degree or any other international equivalent diploma or certification in a degree course not mentioned above, plus the acquisition of at least 50 ECTS in a specific scientific-disciplinary sector, as defined in the course guidance. The Faculty of Economics offers a preparatory course in Fundamentals of Economics and Business Management, reserved for all those students without a degree in economic fields, but who meet all other entry requirements. The course will provide basic knowledge for the programme. For the academic year 209/2020 the preparatory course is expected to take place from 16 to 27 September 2019. The optional preparatory course is open to all interested students, and has no binding effect on the on registration. First year classes are expected to start from Monday 30 September.

The Master's Degree Programme in Economics and International Management – Digital Marketing and Global Markets Curriculum prepares students for a career as marketing professionals in companies that are about to use or are currently using the digital channel to target customers on a global scale. Potential career prospects include: digital marketing manager, brand manager, social media strategist, web analyst, communication manager, and consultant in digital communication.
