Individual courses

Enrolling and attending individual courses allows for the enhancement or completion of the training course. These courses are targeted at the following recipients:

  • People interested in a cultural upgrade and skill integration;
  • Graduates who wish to qualify for examinations and earn credits necessary for admission to specialisation competitions or schools;
  • Students who have not been able to enrol in a subsequent cycle of university studies within the set deadlines.

To enrol in the individual courses given at the University the candidates:

  • must have met the necessary requirements for enrolling in the bachelor’s or master’s degree programme within which the desired individual course is delivered;
  • must have met any necessary requirements for access to each course, in full compliance with the pre-requisites established by the course.

As a rule, enrolment must take place by the start date of each course; however, students may enrol in a course that has already started provided that the number of lessons that have already taken place is not more than one third of the expected hours..

In special cases, the Dean of the Faculty, after having spoken with the coordinator responsible for the degree course or master’s degree programme in which the course is being delivered, the course teacher and the Administrative Department, may allow exceptions to this general rule. The candidate will have to plan an individual study programme in order to recover the class hours missed.

Enrolment must still take place in sufficient time for the candidate to effectively take advantage of the course, carry out the activities and prepare adequately for the final exam.

Application for enrolment in individual courses by Italian and / or foreign citizens must be submitted to the Student Secretariat, together with the receipt of the course entrance fee.

Entrance to individual courses will be subject to the consideration of the availability of the University facilities determined during annual access planning.

Students who are enrolled in an individual course may take the relevant exams at the set date and no later than the end of the last exam session of the academic year of enrolment. Upon request, students may obtain a certificate of attendance, certification of exams taken and credits earned.

Earned credits may be recognised and validated if the student later decides to enrol in a bachelor’s or master’s degree programme.

The maximum number of ECTS that can be earned with one or more individual course enrolments, even if they take place during different academic years, cannot exceed 30.

Tuition fees

The cost of the tuition is € 60,00 for each ECTS.
