Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Management

The Bachelor's Degree Programme in Economics and Business Management is designed to provide students with a firm understanding of the strategic and operational context of businesses entering and/or operating in international markets. The Programme enables graduates to hold both consultancy and management positions in modern digital companies and in the international business context. During the first year and a half of the BA Course students will receive a thorough grounding in business management and decision-making processes, economic analysis methodologies, statistical and mathematical tools for economics, financial analysis, general and financial mathematics, political economy, and private and business law. Students may then decide in which areas they want to specialise, choosing from one of two possible curricula:

  • International Business, focusing on business internationalisation;
  • Digital Business, centred on business digitalisation.

Both Curricula allow students to gain advanced language skills thanks to a two- year English for Business Course and to an Economic Communication Lab. Moreover, the International Business Curriculum includes 5 courses taught in English and the study of a second foreign language to be chosen from the following: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

The Bachelor's Degree Programme in Economics and Business Management aims at allowing students to progress straight from undergraduate study to a career in digital and/or international business. Students are equipped with the core skills required either to successfully access the job market or to go on to further studies in the field of economics and international management. Past graduates have progressed to professional positions of leadership both in public services and in the private sector. They enter such diverse fields as banking, economic consultancy, financial analysis, financial management, marketing, and general and international management.
