UNINT fundraising vs. COVID-19

Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma - UNINT has held a fundraiser with proceeds going to the National Institute for Infectious Diseases "Lazzaro Spallanzani" in Rome to purchase equipment for the diagnosis and care of infected patients, as well as to provide the medical supplies needed to facilitate the hard work of doctors and nurses who faced the disease on the front lines. Concrete support for the fight against the disease manifested in a situation where closeness and national unity reminded us that a donation, whether large or small, can make a difference and save someone's life. The National Institute of Infectious Diseases "Lazzaro Spallanzani," an absolute excellence on the Italian healthcare scenario, has always been on the front line of the fight against infectious diseases and, thanks to the support of the Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma (UNINT), has been able to count on an additional ally to fight the Coronavirus epidemic, also considering the institutional mission of the University that has always been committed to the development and dissemination of culture, science and education. The idea of starting a fundraiser came from our students: "We can be decisive: responsible behavior and a small donation can make a difference. A little can do a lot. Together, we can succeed", the invitation they extended to the entire university community - faculty, students and technical-administration staff - to make a contribution by donating to the Spallanzani Institute, at the forefront of the fight against the virus. The entire proceeds, amounting to € 4,896.93, were donated to the Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute for Infectious Diseases in Rome.
