Preparatory Courses for Freshmen

LANGUAGES FOR INTERPRETING AND TRANSLATION (L-12)

The Faculty of Interpreting and Translation offers preparatory courses in French, English, Portuguese, Spanish and German before classes start. They are open to all those students who do not meet the previous language proficiency requirements, in order to prepare them properly for their programmes. Access to pre-courses is optional and reserved exclusively for enrolled students.

ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (L-18)

The Faculty of Economics provides a 15 hours preparatory course in Mathematics. It aims at filling any gaps in logical-mathematical skills and at harmonizing the initial knowledge of students. The pre-course is open to all students, it is optional and not binding for enrolment.

ECONOMICS AND INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT (LM-77)

The Faculty of Economics organizes four preparatory courses:

  • Pre-course in Economics: aims at providing basic concepts and fundamental principles and theories of macroeconomics and microeconomics;
  • Pre-course in Business Management: provides an introduction to the corporate world and the structural, operational and accounting elements of a business;
  • Pre-course in Statistics: introduces the fundamentals of statistics. It is useful for Data Analysis and Social Media Analysis courses;
  • Pre-course in Law: provides introductory notions on the fundamentals of law. It is aimed in particular at students without an academic background in the legal area.
