Academic merit forms the basis of the system that sets tuition fees that provide for scholarships reserved for the ten most deserving students in each year of each degree programme (top 10) based on the previous year's results.
The scholarships provide a reduction in tuition for the first year of bachelor's degree programmes to those enrolled with an Italian high school graduation grade of 90 to 100, and a reduction in tuition for the second and/or third year, provided they are among the ten most outstanding students in terms of average grade, number of exams and international experience in the degree programme they are enrolled in for each year.
Those enrolled in the LM-52, LM-77 and LM-94 master's degree programmes benefit from a reduction in first-year tuition, provided that they have scored between 105 and 110 at graduation. This reduction also applies to all students who have completed a bachelor's degree programme at UNINT.
The scholarships also stipulate that the ten most outstanding students in terms of average grade, number of exams and international experience for the above-mentioned master's degree programmes will be given a reduction in the tuition fee for the second year.
In order to contribute to fostering the development of young excellences and to participate in the process of social and cultural advancement of our country, the Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma (UNINT) promotes the dynamic aspect of study and issues the calls for scholarship applications for students who have achieved good results at school and who have at the same time, acquired transversal skills by resourcefully expressing their talents through significant extracurricular experiences.
The areas of activity that will be examined for the purpose of this selection to assess the candidates' extracurricular past merit are: volunteering, environmental sustainability, innovation, solidarity, social inclusion, participation in democratic life, sports played competitively during studies, and art in its various forms of expression.
All scholarships are renewable past the first year, provided that merit in undergraduate studies continues to be accompanied by continued commitment to the extracurricular activities on the basis of which selection was made.
The scholarships consist of the awarding of partial waivers worth 50 percent of the standard tuition due for enrolment in the 2023/2024 academic year in the first year of the chosen bachelor's degree programme (L-12, L-18 and L-36).
The calls for application will be made available in early 2023.

UNINT students and those who want to go on to postgraduate studies can count on financial support of up to 50,000 euros created by Intesa Sanpaolo to enable them to expand their skills.
"Per Merito" is a loan package that any student resident in Italy can obtain on the sole condition of being in good standing with their chosen course of study, and it does not require any guarantees.
"Per Merito" allows you to meet tuition fees, purchase of educational materials, housing expenses, and anything else you need to have peace of mind about your course of study.
At the end of the studies, a "bridging period" of up to 24 months can be activated, during which the student still does not have to make any repayment.
Repayment can be in a lump sum or with a personal loan of up to 30 years; in the event of early repayment there are no additional costs.
The interest rate is fixed and set at the time of application.
All interest is paid back by Intesa Sanpaolo to the Fund for Impact, the fund created for groups with difficulties in accessing credit.
