Orientamento next generation
The Ministry of University and Research, under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), is supporting universities to promote orientation paths to facilitate students in the school-university transition. The Orientamento next Generation project, in which UNINT is taking part, envisions the provision of orientation courses by universities in secondary schools in the four-year period 2022-2026.
These courses are intended to help students in the conscious construction of their life project, addressing issues related to professional life and the skills acquired and to be acquired to achieve their educational objectives, enhancing their ability to make informed choices in light of the tools available to them and making them aware of the potential and opportunities offered by the university.
Characteristics of the orientation courses
- Duration: 15 hours
- Mandatory student attendance: 70%
- End of activity school year 2022/2023: July 31st, 2023
Education objectives
At the end of the course, which is characterised by active, participatory and laboratory teaching, students will be able to:
- consciously analyse opportunities for personal growth;
- self-assess, verify and consolidate their knowledge and skills;
- build their own educational and professional project;
- learn about the world of work and the relationship between it and the skills acquired.
Course delivery method
Each course consists of five three-hour lectures to be held at schools with which an agreement has been entered into, according to the Outline of University/AFAM-School Agreement provided for in Director's decree No. 1452 (2022).
The class schedule is arranged taking into account the needs of the school and UNINT.
Each class consists of two hours of a theoretical lecture and one hour of lab time. The laboratory aspect includes orientation tests and return of results, role-playing dedicated to getting to know the professions and, finally, laboratory teaching activities aimed at gaining direct experience of the university world. A simulation of academic classes is planned.
