DiSCo Lazio - Regional body for the Right to Education and Knowledge
Students wishing to enrol at the Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma - UNINT can, as would be the case by enrolling at a State University, access the ‘Right to Study’ Call for Applications, through which DiSCo (regional body for the right to education and knowledge) and Regione Lazio provide benefits and services to university students to guarantee the right to study in accordance with Article 34 of the Italian Constitution, which enshrines the principle of equal educational opportunities.
By participating in the call for applications, it is possible to access scholarships and receive financial support to cover university costs. The services offered also include accommodation in student residences, and subsidised access to the canteen with meals at reduced costs. International mobility grants are also provided to support students during periods of study or internship abroad, thus facilitating international educational experiences.

Merit policy
The merit‑based policy underpins the tuition fee system, which provides for specific financial aids.
For the Bachelor's degree courses scholarships include a reduction in the standard tuition fee based on the high school final grade achieved if the student falls into one of the following four bands: graduation grades ranging from 70-79, 80-89, 90-99, 100-100 cum laude. Students are entitled to maintain the subsidised tuition fees granted in the first year as described above also in the second and third years of enrolment provided they have obtained at least 50 ECTS (in the first year) and at least 100 ECTS (in the second year) by September of the previous academic year.
For the Master's degree courses (LM-37, LM-51, LM-52, LM-77, LM-94) scholarships include a reduction in the standard tuition fee based on the Bachelor’s degree grade achieved if the student falls into one of the following three bands: Bachelor’s degree grades ranging from 101-105, 106-110, 110 cum laude. Students are entitled to maintain the subsidised tuition fees granted in the first year as described above also in the second year of enrolment provided they have obtained at least 50 ECTS by September of the previous academic year.
In order to contribute to the valorisation of excellence and to participate in the Italian social and cultural advancement, the University also provides scholarships for students who have achieved good results in school and university and who have simultaneously acquired transversal skills by expressing their talent through significant extracurricular and internationalisation-related experiences.
Scholarships related to talent, and social and civic commitment for high school graduates enrolling at UNINT
In order to contribute to the valorisation of excellence and to participate in the Italian social and cultural advancement, Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma - UNINT promotes a dynamic dimension of studies and issues these calls for application for the awarding of scholarships intended for students who have achieved good results in school and who have simultaneously acquired transversal skills by expressing their talent through significant extracurricular experiences.
The fields of activity that will be examined for the purposes of this selection to evaluate the background extracurricular merit of the candidates are: volunteering, environmental sustainability, innovation, solidarity, social inclusion, participation in democratic life, sport practiced at a competitive level during studies and art in its various forms of expression.
All scholarships are renewable for the years subsequent to the first on the condition that merit in university studies continues to be accompanied by constant commitment to the extracurricular activities on the basis of which the selection was made.
Scholarships consist of partial exemptions worth 40% of the standard fee due for enrolment in the 2026/2027 academic year in the first year of the chosen Bachelor's degree course (L-12 and L-36).
Scholarships related to merit, social and civic commitment and international talent for graduates or graduating students enrolling at UNINT

Loans for academic merit
The students ofBachelor's and Master's degree courses, the learners ofPostgraduate Master’s programmes andPhDsand UNINTErasmus students who wish to do so will be able to contribute to the independent financing of their studies with the“per Merito” loan thanks to the agreement entered into withIntesa Sanpaolo, which provides for favorable conditions subject to an exclusively meritocratic evaluation.
UNINT students, as well as those who want to attend postgraduate studies, can benefit from financial support of up to €50,000 offered by Intesa Sanpaolo to help them to further develop their skills.
“per Merito” is a loan that any student resident in Italy can obtain on the sole condition of being in good standing with their chosen study programme, and it does not require any form of guarantee.
“per Merito” makes it possible to cover enrolment fees, the purchase of didactic materials, accommodation costs and everything else necessary to face the studies with peace of mind.
At the end of the studies, a “bridge period” of maximum 24 months may be activated, during which the student is not yet required to make any repayments.
Repayment may be made in a single lump sum or through a personal loan of up to 30 years; no additional costs apply in the event of early repayment.
The interest rate is fixedand determined at the time of the application.
All interest is transferred by Intesa Sanpaolo to the Fund for Impact, the fund established to support individuals who face difficulties in accessing credit.

How to apply for the loan
- The application must be submitted directly online by accessing the following link;
- the student must register, verify the eligibility requirements and proceed with activating the application;
- at the time the data are entered, the applicant must already be duly enrolled in a Degree course, Postgraduate Master's programme or PhD course;
- the applicant will then select the type of financing that best suits their needs. For those who enrol in a Bachelor's degree course, it is advisable to choose a five-year loan, which also includes the possibility of continuing their studies with a Master's degree course. Should the applicant decide not to continue after completing the Bachelor's degree course, the loan may be discontinued and adjusted accordingly;
- the admission and maintenance requirements are illustrated in the dedicated guide;
- when the request, having verified the requirements, is accepted, the student will receive a code with which to go to an Intesa Sanpaolo branch of his choice to open an account where the tranches of the loan will be disbursed.

BNL Futuriamo loan
Thanks to an initiative by BNL BNP Paribas in agreement with Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma – UNINT, students of Bachelor's and Master's degree courses and learners of first and second level Postgraduate Master’s programmes can continue their studies with greater peace of mind by applying for the BNL Futuriamo loan, dedicated to students and their families to support investment in higher education and in their future.
The BNL FUTURIAMO loan makes it possible to meet the financial commitment necessary to pursue university studies, in Italy and abroad, by covering the costs related to:
- the training programme;
- the purchase of textbooks;
- accommodation and transport costs;
- the purchase of a PC or a Tablet.
Main features:
- a minimum amount starting from €5,000;
- a maximum amount of up to €70,000;
- duration: from 6 to 10 years, with the possibility of deferring the repayment of the principal from 12 to 36 months after disbursement (pre-amortisation);
- disbursement: in a single lump sum;
- loan application fee: none;
- guarantees: for younger students, joint-registration with a parent/family member residing in Italy or another form of guarantee deemed suitable by the Bank is required.

WELLMAKERS agreement
Thanks to an initiative by BNP Paribas Group in agreement with Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma – UNINT, students, lecturers and technical-administrative staff have access to a varied offer of products and services aimed at five specific categories of needs: health, assistance, education, protection and leisure.
