SERID is designed to complement the university courses of UNINT students belonging to all faculties as well as of students enrolled in similar study curricula in other universities. Given the highly specialised nature of the training offer, however, the School is also aimed at those who, having completed their university studies, wish to delve deeper into technical aspects of international economic and political affairs.

Lectures are delivered hybrid mode. It is possible to enroll in SERID by opting, therefore, for the in-person mode at the headquarters of the University of International Studies of Rome (Via delle Sette Chiese, 139, 00147 – Rome) or for the remote mode (attending the lessons in live streaming via the UNINT Everywhere platform). However, remote attendance is limited to a maximum of 30% of working days (3 days).

At the end of the School, students will be required to submit a final essay/paper (between eight thousand and fifteen thousand characters including spaces) by 15 July 2023 which delves into one of the topics chosen by the student, among those covered in the eight days of teaching/workshops . Each essay will be subjected to an anonymous refereeing procedure by a commission of teachers, appointed by the UNINT Faculty of Economics on the recommendation of the Scientific Committee of the School. In the event of a positive outcome of the evaluation procedure, the student will receive a final attendance certificate, suitable for obtaining 6 University Training Credits (CFU). For students enrolled in the UNINT Faculty of Economics, the CFU can be recognized as free choice courses or as supernumerary credits. The 8 days and the work on the final paper are equivalent to a total of approximately one hundred and fifty hours of study.

Finally, a selection of the best essays, identified by the Scientific Committee, will be published in a collective volume published by UNINT University Press as part of a specific series dedicated to the School.

For the academic year 2022/2023 the registration deadline has expired.
