The master's degree course in International Economics and Management (LM-77) is aimed at training professionals capable of practicing  managerial roles within public and private companies operating in sectors characterised by a high international projection, offering an in-depth knowledge of modern international management tools and a global vision of the reference environment and the changes underway.

The didactic structure of the Course is characterised by the possibility of choosing between four areas of specialisation connected to the sectors of high-end Made in Italy,  marketing anddigital export, to the management of the multinational corporations and international organizations of an economic nature and human resources management (HR Management).

Regardless of the chosen specialization, the study plan is characterized by a specific attention to the internationalization processes of companies and organizations and offers an integrated and multidisciplinary vision of the main trends underway in the international economic scenario, of which the implications on the strategic, economic-political, legal and technological levels are explored. Students will acquire a solid language training, thanks to the numerous courses taught in English and the presence of 5 business language laboratories (Chinese, French, English, Russian and Spanish), with the aim of responding to the growing demand for professional figures specialized in managing relationships with foreign interlocutors. Furthermore, the Degree Course in International Economics and Management offers the possibility of obtaining a double degree thanks to agreements with the Université de Mons UMONS (Mons, Belgium) and the University of National and World Economy – UNWE (Sofia, Bulgaria).

The lectures are integrated with professional workshops and frequent seminars and in-depth meetings on the most recent developments in the international economic scenario.

Thanks to UNINT's innovative teaching formula, students can attend both in-presence and live-stream lectures through the UNINT Everywhere platform.

Admission to the Degree course is free, with a non-selective interview to verify the initial requirements. In consideration of the characteristics of the courses and the type of professional profile for which students are trained, the Curriculum is mainly aimed at students who have obtained a Bachelor's degree in the fields of economics, languages, cultural mediation, public relations and communication.

Professional profile and career opportunities

The Master's Degree in International Economics and Management trains graduates who are able to work, in internal positions or as external consultants, in international companies, institutions and organizations with economic purposes and operational profiles of a global nature.

In particular, graduates of the specialization in Luxury, Made in Italy and sustainability will be able to find employment as export managers, sustainability managers and marketing managers in Made in Italy companies operating in high-end sectors (e.g. fashion, agri-food, cosmetics, furniture) dealing with internationalisation, international marketing and sustainable innovation projects.

Graduates of the Digital Marketing and Export they may be classified as digital export manager, digital marketing manager, e-commerce manager and social media manager, carrying out functions related to the management of communications and the management of commercial relations with foreign markets through digital channels.

Graduates of the International relations, global management and economic diplomacy they will be able to find managerial roles in multinational companies, international governmental and non-governmental organizations, non-profit organizations, public administrations and institutions operating in the field of economic diplomacy.

Graduates of the address in HR Management they will be suitable to operate in the human resources management of national and international companies, dealing with selection and talent acquisition processes and in general with all activities connected to the management of organizational change, the definition of career paths and professional development, inclusion policies and the analysis of organizational performance.

Accreditation and Membership

UNINT is a partner of leading international academic associations that promote the adoption of quality standards of excellence in educational and scientific activities.

Due to its recognised quality requirements in language training, the Department of International Humanities and Social Sciences is among the four Italian members of CIUTI (Conférence Internationale Permanente d'Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interprètes) and its Master's degree course in Interpreting and Translation (LM-94) is part of the EMT network EMT (European Master's in Translation) promoted by the European Commission. Moreover, UNINT is a member of AACSB – Business Education Alliance and has started the accreditation procedure for its degree courses in the area of economics and business.

Finally, in the field of quality assurance-related activities, since 2021 UNINT has been certified in accordance with UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 for "Teaching, training, research and third mission activities", attesting to the correct definition and execution of the processes implemented within the University.

Courses

When enrolling, students can choose one of the following curricula:

  • Luxury, Made in Italy and Sustainability, which is characterised by the presence of teachings in Italian and English in which the typical management profiles of high-end Made in Italy companies, global trends in the luxury goods sector, brand management strategies and market innovations determined by the growing attention of consumers to the environment and sustainability are explored in depth;
  • Digital Marketing and Export, which allows for an in-depth study of international marketing strategies based on the use of digital channels, with particular attention to the adaptation of web communication to the characteristics of target markets and the ways of using different e-commerce solutions to access and monitor foreign markets;
  • International Relations, Global Management and Economic Diplomacy (entirely in English), which offers a curriculum entirely in English and focuses on the fundamentals of global governance and economic diplomacy and on the management profiles of governmental and non-governmental organizations and institutions operating in the world of international economic cooperation and development;
  • HR Management, which is characterized by the presence of teachings in Italian and English focused on organizational design, intercultural leadership and the principles of selection and development of human resources with particular attention to economic-managerial, legal, psychological profiles and the methods of creating inclusive and sustainable environments.

Digital skills and laboratories

The professionalizing profile of the Degree Course is perfected by the presence of numerous thematic in-depth laboratories focused on the main skills related to the exit profiles of the Degree Course: the Laboratory of International Markets Analysis (in English), the Laboratory of Fashion Product Design and Development, the Laboratory of Digital Content Management, the Laboratory of Web Reputation and Sentiment Analysis, the Laboratory of Digital Advertising, the Laboratory of Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (in English), the Laboratory of Euro-Project Design (in English), the Laboratory of Heritage Marketing “Tonino Lamborghini” and the Laboratory of Virtual Reality and Metaverse: Store Design & Management.

Language training and certifications

Graduates of the Degree course will develop solid intercultural communication skills thanks to the presence of numerous courses delivered in English. The curriculum also includes:

  • 6 CFU dedicated to business English, with the possibility of choosing between a basic course and an advanced course with specialist language;
  • mandatory attendance of a Laboratory on Language for business with the possibility to choose among the following languages: Chinese, French, English, Russian and Spanish.

Moreover, thanks to its University Language Centre (CLA), UNINT grants new students enrolled for the academic year 2025/2026 (Bachelor’s or Master's degree courses in any of the degree courses offered by the University) the possibility of obtaining a certification for your level of language proficiency.

Each student, during his/her career, at no additional cost, will be able to take an international certification exam of his/her choice among the certifications offered in agreement with the University: CAMBRIDGE, TOEFL iBT, DELE, CAPLE, TORFL, DELF/DALF.

Study abroad experiences, internships and double degrees

Given the strong international vocation of the University, UNINT's degree courses offer students the opportunity to spend a period abroad for study or internship purposes thanks to the network of over 100 international agreements stipulated with European and non-European universities. Moreover, the University has over 700 active agreements for internships in public and private sector organisations in Italy and abroad.

Furthermore, students enrolled in the Master's Degree in International Economics and Management have the opportunity to obtain a Double Degree thanks to the agreements with the Université de Mons UMONS (Mons, Belgium) and the University of National and World Economy – UNWE (Sofia, Bulgaria).

Pathway of Excellence

The Pathway of Excellence enables a limited number of particularly deserving students, selected on the basis of their study results through a special call for applications issued annually by the University, to have free access to a training pathway that is supplementary to the one provided for in the curriculum, the contents of which are defined in agreement with the student, who obtains, together with the degree, an additional certificate that is recorded in the academic career certification.

Admission requirements, assessment of prior knowledge, additional training obligations and pre-courses

Admission to the Course is subject to possession of one of the following qualifications:

  • An Academic degree or Bachelor's degree or other foreign recognized degree that is equivalent in degree courses for the following classes: L-14, L-16, L-18, L-33, L-36, L-37, L-40 (DM 270/2004) and classes 2, 15, 17, 19, 28, 31 (DM 509/1999);
  • An Academic degree or Bachelor's degree different from the above, with the acquisition of at least 50 CFUs in specific scientific-disciplinary fields defined in the Academic Regulations of the course of study.

For enrollment purposes, a mandatory interview with a board of teachers is requirde. This happens in order to verify personal preparation and the adequacy of curricular requirements.  

For the academic year 2025/2026 the test will take place in person and remotely on the following dates:

  • February 20, 2025 | 12:00 pm
  • May 8, 2025 | 12:00 pm
  • July 17, 2025 | 12:00 pm
  • September 15, 2025 | 12:00 pm
  • October 16, 2025 | 12:00 pm

There is also a test verification of knowledge of the English language aimed at matriculants. Based on the results of the test, freshmen will be directed to the English for International Affairs course or to one of the advanced English courses provided in the individual courses. Pre-courses

In order to support the start and management of studies, 4 pre-courses in fundamentals of political economy, economics and business management, law and statistics are available before the start of lectures. Participation in the preliminary courses is optional and does not presuppose pre-enrolment or enrolment in the Degree course in Economics and International Management.

Furthermore, students wishing to enrol can, as would be the case by enrolling at a State University, access the ‘Right to Study’ Call for Applications, through which DiSCo (regional body for the right to education and knowledge) and Regione Lazio provide benefits and services to university students to guarantee the right to study in accordance with Article 34 of the Italian Constitution, which enshrines the principle of equal educational opportunities.

The services offered also include accommodation in student residences, and subsidised access to the canteen with meals at reduced costs. International mobility grants are also provided to support students during periods of study or internship abroad, thus facilitating international educational experiences.
