The Department of International Humanities and Social Sciences, established in September 2023, is responsible for the organisation and coordination of the related Bachelor's and Master's degree courses and for the promotion of research and third mission/social impact activities carried out by the University professors and researchers.
In line with the mission and the guidelines established by the University, the Department's activity is aimed at creating an academic environment that fosters an interdisciplinary scientific dialogue, a global vision of social phenomena, the centrality of the individual in the processes of knowledge processing and transmission, and the quality of the educational activities and of the university experience as a whole.
Department bodies
As provided for by Article 12 of the UNINT Statute, the Department bodies are:
- Director of the Department;
- Presidents of the Degree courses' Councils;
- the Department Council.
The affiliation of academic and research staff to the Department is determined by the Board of Directors, after consultation with the Academic Senate. The decision is made on the basis of criteria of homogeneity/affinity of the Department with the professor's teaching and research activity and the University's size and specificity. The Department Council also includes a student representative to be elected among the representatives of the relevant Degree courses.
