Faculty of Interpreting and Translation
The only Faculty in Central and Southern Italy specialized in training interpreters and translators
UNINT Faculty of Interpreting and Translation is an internationally renowned department that boasts many awards: it is among the three Italian members of the Permanent International Conference of Translators and Interpreters (CIUTI)
, a prestigious international association of the world’s best university faculties for translators and interpreters; its master’s degree programme is now part of the European Master Translation Network (EMT)
after undergoing a rigorous selection procedure. This department also coordinates a Working Group within the European Project AGORA
- aimed at creating a system of internships especially for translation students. According to the latest report prepared by ANVUR - the National Agency for Evaluation of University and Research – the Faculty of Interpreting and Translation is ranked first in the nation among small-sized universities and is ranked second among all the Italian Universities in the field of linguistic and literary research (VQR 2004-2010).
Thanks to this network, which also extends to public and private institutions and to numerous European and non-European universities, the Faculty of Interpreting and Translation can enhance its own teaching and research activities and focus on the future of its students and graduates by constantly organising professional internships and study periods abroad.
